The Balearic Islands are an autonomous group of islands situated in the Mediterranean Sea, off the coast of Spain. There are some 50 islands in total but the three most popular as tourist and visitor destinations are Majorca, Minorca, and Ibiza. Of these, Majorca, or Mallorca as it is known to the Spanish, is the largest, and contains the city of Palma, the administrative centre of the Balearics.

Accommodation on the island is as varied as the terrain. Lodgings range from budget hotels to luxury hotels of the very highest standard. Here we overview the best accommodation available from high end Ibiza boutique hotels - reviewing and locating each hotel in turn.

Ibiza is a world centre for clubbing and dance music and during the summer months, the club scene attracts many visitors and tourists eager to experience such famous clubs as Pacha, Space, and Privilege. The party district of San Antoni is also known for its popular and vibrant nightlife. Although justly famous for the nightlife, the clubbing scene is restricted to the summer months and the only club open all year round is Pacha. The island has much to offer families and others who are less interested in the club scene, with some excellent beaches and resort amenities located throughout the island.

Close to the Catalan region of Spain, Catalan, Spanish and English are all official languages on the islands. Ibiza, along with its neighbour Formentera, form the Pine Islands. Pleasure boats take tourists the 6 km from Ibiza to Formentera, and the small island is certainly the quieter of the two with many excellent beaches, some of which are nudist.

Much of the rustic and beautiful landscape of the island has been designated as World Heritage Sites and as such, are protected from development and commercialisation. Most notably, "God's Finger" in the Benirras Bay proves popular with sightseers and holidaymakers and Ibiza's long noble history, stretching for thousands of years, as a major Mediterranean trading post has left its mark on the visitor sites and attractions throughout the island.

As a world renowned holiday destination, Ibiza has all the services and amenities to enable visitors to make the most of their stay on the island. Pleasure cruises are common, as are a range of coastal activities. In the towns and resorts, most notably Ibiza Town, a wealth of shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants, in addition to the incredible nightlife, offer plenty of opportunities to spend quality leisure time.

Accommodation on the island is plentiful and varied. As a popular destination for package tours, all the major travel companies and hotel chains are represented on the island. For those who prefer their accommodation more intimate and individual, the host of Ibiza Boutique Hotels offer the perfect opportunity to sample the place from a more personal perspective.

Ibiza Hotels share a common love of the original features, unique charm, and individual style. From high-end luxury to easy comfort all tastes and budget are catered for. Whether you are looking for a busy, town centre hotel with internet access, a dining area, and a bar, or a more secluded spot away from the buzz of the town and offering an elegant, air conditioned and calm environment, then there is an Ibiza Boutique Hotel to meet your needs.

Browse from the selection of hotels, presented here, to plan your personal Spanish island holiday experience.
